2. Photo Usage & Social Proof

By uploading images to StumpBook's quote tool, you grant StumpBook a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your submitted photos for:

• Marketing materials and advertisements
• Social proof and testimonials on our website
• Before/after service examples
• Educational content about stump grinding

Privacy Protection: We do not share any personally identifying information (name, address, email, phone number) publicly alongside your photos. Your privacy is protected.

Photo Deletion Requests: If you wish to have your photos removed from our marketing materials, please contact us at privacy@stumpbook.com with details about your submission.

3. Email Communications

Email Collection Policy

Email collection on StumpBook varies based on how you use our services:

Marketing Communications

You may opt in to receive promotional emails, stump grinding tips, and special offers by checking the marketing consent box when providing your email. Marketing emails are always optional.

Photos uploaded to our quote tool are retained indefinitely for marketing and service improvement purposes, as outlined in Section 2.

Email Addresses

Email addresses are stored securely and used only in accordance with your consent:

• Service customers: Emails retained for service records, support, and legally required communications
• Quote-only users: Emails retained for quote delivery and optional marketing (if consented)

Data Deletion Requests

To request deletion of your personal data, including photos and email address, contact privacy@stumpbook.com. We will respond within 30 days.

5. Quote Accuracy & Price Guarantee

StumpBook uses AI technology to provide instant stump grinding quotes. While we strive for accuracy:

• Quotes are estimates based on photo analysis
• For booked services, we guarantee the quoted price will not increase upon arrival
• If our AI significantly underestimates the job, we honor the original quote
• Quotes are valid for 30 days from generation

We reserve the right to adjust quotes if photos provided were inaccurate or misleading (e.g., photos of a different stump, digitally altered images).

6. Service Cancellation & Refunds

Customers may cancel scheduled services with the following policies:

• More than 24 hours before service: Full refund
• Less than 24 hours before service: 50% cancellation fee
• No-show or same-day cancellation: No refund

7. User Responsibilities

When using StumpBook, you agree to:

• Provide accurate information and photos
• Own or have permission to photograph the property where services are requested
• Ensure safe access to the stump location for our contractors
• Not use our platform for fraudulent or unlawful purposes
• Respect intellectual property rights (do not upload copyrighted images you don't own)

8. Limitation of Liability

StumpBook connects customers with professional stump grinding contractors. We are not liable for:

• Property damage caused by contractors (contractors carry liability insurance)
• Service quality issues (we maintain quality standards but are not the service provider)
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for services through our platform.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
